KNOCHEL, FLOYD H. Kawkawlin On Monday, July 28, 2014, Floyd Harley Knochel went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was born in Kawkawlin, MI, on March 4, 1923, to the late Fred and Nettie (Wieland) Knochel. He married Marian Dining, his loving wife of 66 years, on September 30, 1944. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2011. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church for 63 years. Floyd's gift of humor lightened the spirit of family, friends & neighbors, and the stranger who crossed his path. His love for the Lord was evident to all - Ephesians 5 & 6 was his inspiration. He was a lifetime farmer, who embraced honesty, hard work, and generosity. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by children; Gary (Cindy) Knochel, Judith Knochel, Janice (Garven) Huntley, Maureen (Robert) Weiss, Yvonne Arnold, Joyce (Gerard) McNally, Luanne (Ronald) Mannor, Tom Knochel, Brenda (James) Wrzesinski. Grandchildren; Clint (Cora) Knochel, Trisha Knochel, Tammy (Brian) Wrzesinski, Julie (Mike) Schultz, Tiffany Hadd (friend Ron), Brian (Wendy) Knochel, Daren (Marissa) Huntley, Krista Huntley (friend Joel), Robert (Sarah) Weiss, Aaron (Rebecca) Weiss, Jessica McElrath (friend Matt), Eric (Roberta) Arnold, Terra (Chris) Kelpinski, Jodi (Mark) Hughes, Jeffrey McNally, Kris (Brian) VanDeilen, Brian Hendricks, Kristy (Ron) Smith, Tia (Adam) Dunning, Jerod (Jill) Wrzesinski, Ryan Wrzesinski. Great grandchildren; Gavin, Connor, Trey, Kristi, Heather, Torri (friend Kyle), Brandon, Jacob, Allison, Justin, Kristin, Kevin, Danny, Brooklyn, Alivia, Tyler, Garven, Darian, Angel, Stone, Mary, Andrew, Ethan, Emily, Anna, Isabella, Grace, Saylor, Carter, Parker, Callen, Easton, Reed, Richard (Danielle), Kayla (Justin), Kyle, Courtney, Brittany, Blake, Drew. Great-great grandchildren; Luisa, Emma, Maleigha, Peyton, Jack, Kaylynn, Elizabeth, Cooper, Brantley. One surviving sister; Laura Knapp; brother-in-law; Kenneth Meddaugh; sisters-in-law; Leanore (Dining) Knochel, Eleanor Knochel, Evelyn Knochel, Madeline Bledsoe, Johanna Knochel; and several nieces and nephews. Floyd was predeceased in death by brothers; Harold, Alpha, Theodore, Norman, Victor, Herbert and Fred Knochel; and sisters; Alvina Wackerle, Marie Schieler; brothers-in-law; Wallace Wackerle, Harold Schieler, Glenn Knapp; and sisters-in-law; Beatrice Meddaugh, Doris Knochel; and grandson; Ronald Mannor Jr. Friends may call at the Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00 am. Floyd will lie in state at the Apostolic Christian Church from 10 am until time of service, with intermittent at the church cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at the Bay Shore Rehab and Linwood Residence. Those planning anexpression of sympathy are asked to consider the Galilean Children's Home in Kentucky or the Apostolic Christian Church.

Gary, Tom, and the rest of the Knochel family. My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your father. He was such a dear sweet man, and always one of my favorite customers while working at Farm Credit. I have many wonderful memories of him that I will cherish forever and I am sure you do as well. He is in a better place.

I remember when his daughter Luanne went home to visit and took me with her. What a sweet man he was he welcomed me like I was one of his own. I know he loved his family and God.
