Obituary

Ingeborg Salveson, age 89, of Erskine, MN, passed away on Friday (December 17th) at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine. Ingeborg Adeline Skomedahl was born July 10, 1915, to parents, Gustav and Gunhild (Ose) Skomedahl, in Erskine, Minnesota. She attended grade school in Erskine, and after her father's death, moved to Hazel Run, Minnesota, where she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1929 and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1933. She was united in marriage to Miller Salveson on December 3, 1938, at Winger, Minnesota. After their marriage, they lived in the Winger and Erskine areas. Miller passed away in January, 1975. Ingeborg was a current member of Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine, where she was active in W.E.L.C.A. and a member of the Hope Circle. After her retirement, she enjoyed doing things with her family and the many activities and travels with her friends. Ingeborg Salveson passed away at the age of 89 years on Friday, December 17, 2004, at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center, where she had previously worked for over 20 years. Survivors include three sons, Miller Duane (Nancy) of Bloomington, MN, Dean (Mary Ellen), and David (Bonnie) of Erskine; five grandchildren, Wendy (Tom) Vorderbruggen, Jill (Gary) Sonstelie, Jennifer Juhl, Aaron (Sandy) Salveson, and John (Jenny) Salveson; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Olive Kimler of Social Circle, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepfather, and sister, Anna Vold. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (December 21st) at Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine with the Rev. Peter Satren officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, rural Erskine. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Monday (December 20th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Erskine. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine.
