Jennifer Leonora Stemmons Sumsion

1970 ~ 2016
Our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and loyal friend Jennifer Leonora Stemmons Sumsion returned to our Heavenly Father unexpectedly on December 17, 2016.
She is survived by her parents, William and Catherine Stemmons; three children: Lance (Rachel) Sumsion, Amanda Sumsion, and Cameron Sumsion; and seven siblings: David (Rhonda) Stemmons, Elizabeth Larkin Correa, Danny (Sharlee) Stemmons, Brent Stemmons, Ben (Sabrina) Stemmons, Kent (Hillary) Stemmons, and Jared Stemmons. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Ashton.
Jennifer enjoyed cooking, crafts, art, and most of all family activities. She was known for her excellent memory of birthdays and showing her love through her superb cooking skills. She excelled in oil, water colors, and other types of canvas painting. She was finishing up her Bachelor of Arts Degree at UVU. Jennifer was the silent architect to coordinating family events and was adamant that phones remained in pockets. She was creative in nature by preparing dishes that would fit her dietary needs. She was a single mother for close to 20 years and was extremely proud of her children. All three of her children served successful LDS missions with the youngest returning just three weeks ago. Jennifer adored her many nieces and nephews and they adored her. Jennifer was active in her community garden and developed the skills of canning. She saw value in items that would be deemed obsolete. Jennifer had a firm testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Sunset 13th Ward Chapel, 1090 West 1020 South, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Tuesday, December 20, from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
