Irene FENDER Obituary
Irene went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the age of 75.
Irene will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Warren; as well as her son, Ross and daughter-in-law Denean; son, Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Lori; and adorable grandchildren Josh and Sydney. Irene was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Mary Cuchiran and brother Ken.
Irene grew up in Regina and upon her marriage to Warren moved to the Assiniboia area where they farmed. On retirement in 2005 they moved to West Kelowna. Irene will be remembered for her gift of hospitality, kindness and generosity. A special thanks to Dr. Bystrom and staff at Medical Town Centre, to Pamala at the Heart Function Clinic and to the nurses at the Community Care Centre.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC with Pastor Brian Carlson officiating.

Irene will long be remembered for her friendship and love for our family. Her mentorship and service to our Lord were a strong example to us and many others. We look forward to seeing her in heaven. Our prayers & sympathies are with you, Warren, Ross, Denean, Jeff, Lori, Josh & Syndney.

Warren - So saddened to hear of your loss. I hope that the respect shown by relatives and friends will be of great support during this time of sorrow.
I fondly remember our time spent together on the ice when we participated in the afternoon co-ed league. Pleasant thoughts of the past are the memories that are now so important to cherish.

There are no words to express my sadness upon hearing of Irene's passing. Irene had a special impact on my life and the lives of my children and the kindness she imparted to us has extended through our lives into those of others. Irene's love of the Lord and all He does for us remains with me still and I am grateful for the absolute love she lent to my life. Heaven's gain is truly our loss but she has more than earned her place with Jesus. Please always keep the happy memories close and know that others share your sadness. My condolences to Warren, Ross, Jeff and families.
