I'm saddened to hear about the passing of Irene. My thoughts and prayers are with Gerry and his family.

So sorry to learn of Irene's passing. It is because of her passion that I ended up teaching with the Faculty of Extension at the University of Alberta. She could always be counted on for support, and a good giggle. Peace to you on your journey Irene, and may your memories bring warmth and peace to your family.

This is such a sad loss of a truly beautiful lady-both inside & out. It was one of my greatest pleasures to have worked with Irene. Always positive, sincere and caring.

I was greatly saddened by the lost of such a great friend and colleague. My warmest condolences to Irene's family. Her smile will be remembered in our hearts forever, especially at the last Dim Sum lunch that we had at Good Buddy restaurant. May God help her family to go through this difficult time.

Thoughtful, generous, kind, considerate, full of life and laughs. I am blessed to have known, and worked with Irene, but mostly to call her a dear friend.
