Irene Pomerantz Obituary
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Irene worked until finally retiring at 85, spending many years in Philadelphia-area condominium management.
Irene cherished her family and many loving friends. She enjoyed travel, theater, movies, museums, craft shows, crossword puzzles, playing bridge, cooking and baking, and was a self-described gastronome.
She will be greatly missed by her four daughters: Ronni Barton of Philadelphia; Jo (Mark) Eckert of New Bern, NC; Kim Barton Phillips of Rancho Mirage, CA; and Jami (Stephen) Guttenberg of Boca Raton, FL. Irene was the devoted grandmother of Jeffrey (Dawn) Eckert of Brookhaven, PA; Dr. Kate Eckert of Beaverton, OR; and Jake Phillips (Alexandria Chu) of Jersey City, NJ.
At Irene's request, services will be private.
Contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

To the four daughters and grandchildren my condolence, as a coworker I consider her my mentor, we were in touch through the years by email. She was a sharp and smart lady. I learn a lot from her. i will missed chating with her. She was proud of her grandchildren, specialy from Jake, beacause she was an art lover.
