I used to work for Irene and Harold at their house in Burnaby. I have nothing but the best memories of working for them and always looked forward to the next publication. Putting together the magazine every month was never work for me as they were just so much fun to be around and I just loved being with them. I feel so bad that I didn't stay in touch when they moved to Yaletown, but I thought about them all the time. I loved Irene. We used to laugh so much we would have to go to separate rooms to get away from each other. She was such a real woman, loaded with attributes as long as my arm. Always true to her word and a great friend, I will always remember her as a person of great strength and integrity. And she really did make the best cookies, not to mention a million other things. She really enjoyed life, love and all the good things but most of all, I know how much she loved her family.

Rest in peace Irene, flaunt your sparkles and fur coats in Heaven and know that you are truly loved and dearly missed.
