Patricia and family, I was truly shocked and sadden when Roddy Jones telephoned me about Al`S illiness. Roddy introduced me to Al over dinner in Raleigh. When I contacted Roddy about going Peacock Bass fishing in Brazil and asked if he wished to invite someone, he replied "yes, and I am sure Al will go". Sure you heard many stories about the trip from Al, and probably exaggerated in his favor. I, we, really enjoyed his company, wit and tales. Know he shall be missed by you, his family and the many friends he made during his life time.

So many people admired Al Roseman. I remember his warm personality and wonderful wit at so many meetings and gatherings around town. He always hit the nail right on the head. Al added so much to everything he did and everywhere he went. So many in our community will miss him.

Al and I worked side by side under for the National Guard at the Armory Wilmington. We spent a tough few days readying amazing veterans for re-deployment overseas. I learned so much from him as he shared his life stories with us. He was so kind and respectful to our soldiers. He took Colonel Glen Garland and I to lunch and insisted on paying. After a long day he begged me to go flying with him in his plane that was parked a short way from the Armory. I told him I was too exhausted and said we would do it another time.
Al made a great, lasting impression on me, I'm so glad I got to spend time in his presence.

Our family was very saddened to hear of Al's sudden illness and then passing. You and Al were very much an important part of helping me start my practice in Wilmington. Then when my son Hunter wanted to start a career in Dentistry Al again was a mentor to him. One does not know how they impact a persons life, but Al made his impact on Hunter and Me that we are eternally grateful.

Dr. Roseman will be greatly missed. My sincere condolence and prayer to his family. He was the best endodentist. He preformed my first root canal on Saturday while I was in college(I remember him telling me he was also going to school so that's why Sat. was when he worked on patients)which was over thirty years ago. He had a great way to calm you down and reassure you that it wouldn't hurt. He always made time to talk and therefore became your friend as well. God allowed him to touch everyone he meet in a special way. As stated earlier, he will be truly missed.

Dr. Roseman did my first root canal and I was scared to death--left a note with the receptionist with names of people to call if I fainted or died! Dr. Roseman knew of my fear, and did everything in his power to calm me down and keep me that way throughout the entire procedure. I kept waiting for the pain....and it never came. He even removed my jewelry and cleaned it for me in the autoclave during one of the waiting periods. From that day on, I loved that man and I, like many others, will truly miss him.

Al made many contributions to the university and the community. He had a great sense of humor and was a good friend to all. I was always struck by his personal generosity.
