Irving Greenberg Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 21, 2007.
GREENBERG, Irving It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Irving Greenberg, peacefully at home after living valiantly with lung cancer for seven months. He loved and was loved by his wife Evelyn and by his children Peter (Lori), Michael (Debbie) and Leslie. He adored his precious grandchildren Brianna, Amy, Noah and Lauren and was devoted to his dear sister Gertrude Budovitch and his sister-in-law Jacquelin Holzman and their families. He was a respected member of the County of Carleton Law Society for over 50 years, a past president of Hillel Lodge and a proud member of Congregation Beth Shalom. The funeral will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2:00 p.m. at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue. Shiva will be observed at his home from Monday, April 23 to Thursday, April 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family is grateful for the care and kindness of Drs. P.D. Stewart, S. Bencze, K. Amjadi, G. Perry, N. Reaume, M. Reardon, and Dr. Louise Coulombe. We sincerely appreciate the compassionate help we received from the ORCC, Bayshore Home Health, CCAC, At Home Hospice and from our dedicated nurse Leslie Hurst. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Lung Association (613-569-6411) or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.

Dearest Evelyn,
I have tears in my eyes as I bring up the Ottawa obituaries on Gina's computer here in Ra'anana.
My thoughts are with you and your family. Irving had the best life and the best wife that a man could wish for. Tomorrow, Sunday, is Erev Hazikoron. For us and so many others, it will always include Irving.
Love Gita and Jerry
