Unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, devoted wife of the late George Sestrich and daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Aiello; loving sister of Anthony Aiello, Elizabeth Oberst, and Mary Ann Petitta; second mom to her nieces and nephews, Diane, Bill (Maggie), David (Linda), Steve (Sheonia), Chris (Roxanne), and Lisa Oberst, and Domenic (Pam) Petitta, Kristen (Ron) Frankovich, and Michael (Samantha Porco) Petitta; also dedicated to her 19 great- nieces and nephews, her great-great-niece and nephew, and her lifelong friends. Our Izzy was a remarkable woman of faith and lived a life full of love and friendships. She was an inspirational teacher for 33 years in the Aliquippa School District where she touched many lives and created strong friendships. Additionally, Isabel was a volunteer of the food bank and lector in the St. Cyril of Alexandria Parish, the secretary of the Northshore AARP and a longtime member of the Javor Croatian Club. Isabel lived life to the fullest and always put her loved ones before herself. Her nurturing love will be etched in our hearts forever. We are comforted in knowing that Isabel is now reunited in the arms of her precious George. Friends will be received Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-8 p.m. at the THOMAS P. KUNSAK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3552 California Ave. at Davis Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, 3854 Brighton Rd., Pittsburgh 15212. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the St. Cyril of Alexandria Foodbank.

I just learned of Isabel's passing and wanted to send my condolences to her family and all who knew her.
Isabel was a lifelong friend of my sister, Kate (Flinn) Gilberti, and extended her love to all of our family. As others mentioned, Isabel was a caring, kind and generous person who will be missed but never forgotten.

Isabel was an extraordinary, beautiful woman who spread joy and light wherever she went!!! She touched my life with her grace and her love. I hope she is reunited and dancing with my Uncle George now. She will be deeply missed but will always be an inspiration to me on how to live a well-lived life.

What a wonderful lady. Doesn't surprise me that she would have donations to Saint Cyril's food bank.As she worked the food bank she along with her sister Mary Ann Always would bring me diapers for a struggling single mom. Izzy earned her wings on earth. God Bless her.
