Iva Elizabeth Neill

In loving memory of Iva Elizabeth (Beth) Neill, 69 years of age, of Chandler Arizona who passed away peacefully at home on Saturday August 23rd, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Beth was born on October 27th, 1955, in West Union, Ohio. The daughter of the late James Robert (Bob) Neill and Avis Arthella (Eppie) Nichols. Beth worked at Southwest Gas for more than twenty years and for Santa Fe Railroad.

Beth was preceded in death by her father James Robert Neill, her brother Robert Carey Neill and her son Christopher Eric Juarez. Beth is survived by her mother, Avis Nichols; her sister, Amy Tolle (Shannon); her sister-in-law, Mary Neill; and her daughter, Nissa Hoogendoorn (Heath). Beth had four grandchildren: Christopher Juarez, Blain Hoogendoorn, Jillian Juarez, and Madeline Juarez, as well as five great-grandchildren: Rosalie Ellen, Christopher Anthony Jr, Ivar Ryder, Daisy Mae, and Beau Cash.

Beth spent her childhood years in Peebles, Ohio, surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She spent many hours at her grandparents' farm. She had numerous lifelong friendships within the Peebles community including close friend Mary McAdow Reed.

The family moved to Arizona when Beth was starting sixth grade. She was very athletic, graduating from Winslow high school in 1973 where she was the state all around gymnastics champion her senior year.

Beth loved animals, especially horses. Beth owned horses while living for years on a working ranch in Northern Arizona. She loved riding, showing horses and was a member of the Winslow equestrian drill team for several years.

Beth loved cooking and baking and sharing time with her friends and family. Her children and grandchildren brought immense joy to her life. She loved following them in sports and school activities.

We love you and miss you. You have left a place in our heart that can never be replaced.
