Ivan SULLIVAN Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ivan on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the age of 66. Born in Tipperary, Ireland, he was a citizen of the world and recently of Ompah, Ontario. Predeceased by his beloved wife Laura, and parents William and Catherine. Loving father of Clare (Simon Crabtree). Grandfather of Nicholas and Lauren. Brother of Audrey Craven and uncle of Trevor, Janet and Mervyn Craven. Ivan led a distinguished 35 year career in the Canadian and Royal Navies, and was a decorated veteran of the Falklands War. He was a Master Mason of the Hazeldean Lodge #517 Kanata. Ivan was a remarkable man who touched many people throughout his life and will be fondly remembered by relatives and friends around the world. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Ivan's life at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Rd. (at Roosevelt) on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. followed by a gathering and music at The Royal Oak pub, 1217 Wellington St W . Funeral Service will be broadcasted online at http://app.eventbywire.com/viewevent/?id=430-652, Password: Tubman. Dear Clare, I arrived in Canada for an exchange post in1990. Ivan had transferred to the RCN and was part of the Communications Team in DMCS6! I knew him in the RN and was aware he had transferred after being in the same post I was now filling! I know it's 10 years ago, but I am so sad to hear of his passing and will now pass on these sad details to his friend Arthur Kerrison who is in a home in the UK and was enquiring to his whereabouts this very day! I would very much like to pass on your details to Arthur and Dorothy whom I know loved Ivan with affection. Your Barry Lucas

Dear Clare, you may not remember me but I met you when you came to uk with your Father, you stayed with us in Denmead. I met Ivan in the Navy when we were young and loved him very much, for a very long time.
