J. Clayton

Life-long local resident Mrs Joyce Clayton (83), who was a resident of Langwith Lodge Residential Home, Nether Langwith, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at the crematorium chapel.

Born at Shirebrook, Mrs Clayton was educated at the town's Central School.

She had worked at various office jobs but before retiring had been a ladies clothing sales advisor.

Prior to suffering from Alzheimer's Disease she enjoyed spending time with her family, walking in the Peak District, holidays abroad and ballroom dancing.

Mrs Clayton, who died at Langwith Lodge, leaves her son, Stefan Clayton, daughter Jeanette Dodds and four grandchildren - Becci, Michael, Victoria and Phillipa.
