J.E. White

October 15, 1932 - July 7, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of J.E. White, aged 92, who peacefully departed this life on July 7, 2025. Born in Tahoka, Texas, to Pearl Vaughan and Virgil White. J.E. was a man of unwavering strength, integrity, and a deep, abiding love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He earned the National Defense Medal at the end of his military commitment.

J.E. was a devoted husband to Lovetta White, with whom he shared an extraordinary 75 years of love, friendship, and companionship. Their marriage was a testament to commitment and passion, and they celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in November 2024.

A successful businessman, J.E. was the proud owner of two roofing companies-Acme Roofing and White Roofing. His reputation in the industry was built on his hard work, dedication, and strong sense of integrity. The values he embodied in his professional life mirrored the love and devotion he showed in his personal life.

J.E. was a proud father of five daughters; Denise, Deena, Diane (predeceased) Julie, and Jan. He was a loving and devoted Grandpa to 10 grandchildren: Aaron Haddock, Joshua Haddock, Lindsay Hearron, Sydney Nelson, Keri Crown, Brock Goehring, Graham Wilson, Hannah Coons, Zachary Goehring, and Allie Wilson. He was also a great-grandfather to eighteen great-grandchildren, whose lives he touched with love and wisdom. His legacy will live on through them.

Now in Heaven, J.E. has been reunited with those who passed before him, including his beloved parents, Pearl Vaughan and Wallace Vaughan, his brother, Maurice White, his baby daughter, Diane, his son-in-law, Andy Christman, and his granddaughter, Lauren Christman. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lovetta White, his daughters Denise Haddock (Dean), Deena Christman, Julie Wilson (Doug) and Janet Goehring (Mark), his sister, Juanita Miller, and his nephews Bill Childress (Denise), Brian Childress, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, J.E.'s legacy of love, wisdom, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew him. His passing was peaceful, and he leaves behind a lifetime of love, dedication, and the warmth of his remarkable family.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd., Arvin, CA, on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 10:45 to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.

May J.E. White rest in eternal peace.
