My wife, connie, and I extend sympathy to the family. I was pastor of St. John's Lutheran church in Millvale from 1989 to 1999. Mr. Hammond was a fine man and a good friend to me during that time.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Hammond's death. I worked at the Green Sheet in 1991, and he was the only person who would give me a job. I also remember how he passed out candy bars on Friday afternoon.

What a joy I had in knowing Milt. We golfed. We drank together at Alcoma and he was a business associate. He alway use to say I was a great salesman . That he bought season tickets to World Team Tennis and he did not anything about tennis. The truth was he knew I needed the sale. What a Great Man.
