J. Edward "Bud" Juenemann Jr., age 77, born October 4, 1929,
of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. A native of Canton, he was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School and attended Kent State University and the Engineering College of the University of Detroit where he was a member of the marching and concert bands and the St. Francis Club. He was associated with the Engineering and Surveying firm of Cooper and Associates for 41 years, retiring as a principal partner of the firm. Ed was active in musical circles and played trumpet in many area orchestras. He started playing the trumpet at Moonlight Ballroom in 1944 with his father's dance band, "The Eddie Juenemann Orchestra." He was a life member of the Canton Federation of Musicians, having retired as Secretary Emeritus of their Board of Directors. Ed was also active in the community, having served for 16 years on the Planning Commission and four years on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of N. Canton. For six years he held the position of Zoning Inspector for the Village of Hartville. He was a member of and served as an Usher at St. Paul's Catholic Church in N. Canton. He was a member of the Bishop McFadden Council No. 3777 K. of C. where he was a past Grand Knight; Fraternal Order of Elks Lodge 2029; Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio; and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mildred Walker; son and daughter-in-law, Mark E. and Judy Juenemann of Louisville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne E. and Tim Flanagan of Pittsburgh, PA and Julie M. and Lt. Col. James Leneghan (U.S.M.C.) of Jacksonville, FL; special loving grandchildren, Laura, Alaina and Clare Flanagan, Kathleen and Daniel Leneghan and Nicholas C. Mozea; sister, Jo Ann Maseline of Pawleys Island, SC; two brothers, Richard A. Juenemann of Canton and M. Thomas Juenemann of Falmouth, ME; step mother, Evelyn Siddall Juenemann of Lantana, FL; step sister, Nancy Luellan of Boynton Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Marie (Frank) Juenemann. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church in N. Canton for a Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Msgr. James A. Clarke as Celebrant. There will be no procession to the cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
