Jack Albert Carnes, 86, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 20, 1926, in Lancaster, a son of the late James Albert Carnes and Ona Lee Thompson Carnes. He was a Shriner and a member of the Wannamaker Masonic Lodge No. 329.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Carnes will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with the Revs. Heather Humphries and Glenn Ribelin officiating. Burial will be in the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Carnes is survived by one sister, Bobbie Weber Crow and her husband, Doyle, of Little Rock Ark.; and three nephews, Richard Glenn Carnes, Kenneth Craig Carnes and Mark Lewis Weber.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Mason.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Lancaster Funeral Home.
