It has saddened our family to lose one of Little Rock's finest. To lose a police officer in such a disastrous tragedy has made our family stop and realize the danger of being a police officer but also to respect the position more.Jack sounds like he was a wonderful man and to die in the line of duty means he is a hero to all the people he served. Our family appreciated him and his extreme responsibilities and from now on we will stop and give it a second thought when we see a police officer and reflect on the awesome job they do on a daily basis. From whatever hat they wear in a day of duty, weather it be counselor to domestic prevention, protector, etc. we as a family will honor the job a lot more.Little Rock was lucky to have had Jack Cooper serve on it's police force and we were lucky to have had him serve in our community. Jack Thank You for putting your life on the line for all of us.May God Bless your family through this time and may God Bless the people's lives you have touched.

Mr.& Mrs. Cooper, I became friends with Jack soon after rookie school. He was an awesome officer and human being. I will never forget his laugh, it will stick with me forever. The nine years of working with Jack will never be forgotten! Jack's work here on earth is finished and he has been called to a higher place. I know he is watching over his fellow officers and family. You have so much to be proud of, you raised a very compasionate and caring son. May others learn from him and his ways. May God Bless you and your Family.

I got to know Jack in 89/90 when he helped Nancy and I address Saline Co. for 9-1-1. He was a very nice polite young man. He always talked about his dream of becoming a cop. I know he was one of the best. My prayers are with you all. So sad to lose someone with so much promise ahead for them. Jack now has his permanent "wings". He is rejoicing in Heaven with Paula. Bro. Cooper & Jackie, always remember that you are so very special to us all. You courage, devotion, and love is an inspiration to all that know you. Always remember and charish the thought that Jack lived his life doing what he loved & caring for others in the process--it takes a special, giving person to be a Policeman or Fireman.
