Jack A. Drexler, 90, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on February 25, 1934, in St Louis, MO, the son of John Drexler and Blanche (Tesson) Drexler, who preceded him in death.

On February 11, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, he was united in marriage to Dolores Huitt, who resides in the home.

Jack's professional journey was marked by dedication and hard work. A proud 1952 graduate of McBride High School, St. Louis, MO, he began his career at International Shoe Co. during the summers of 1950 and 1951, taking shoe orders on the phone. His career at Broderick and Bascom Rope Co. began on June 9, 1952, in St. Louis, MO, and continued for 40 years until his retirement in 1992. He held various positions, including shipping clerk, sling inspector, billing department supervisor, and accountant, and served as a data processing manager for 31 years.

Jack was not just a family man, but also a pillar of his community. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, playing softball, and gardening. His leadership was evident as he served as the president of the Friday Senior Bowling League for 22 years. He was also a dedicated member of the Cub Scouts for 15 years, serving on the pack and district levels in both St. Louis and Sedalia.

Jack's devotion to his family was unwavering. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores, and their five children, Diane Sackman (Donald), Robert Drexler, Thomas Drexler, James Drexler, and Michael Drexler (Laura). His legacy lives on through his eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Sackman.

Private family service will be held at a later date.

The burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Zach Drexler, Kyle Drexler, Michael Drexler, Jr., and Daniel Drexler.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
