I have many enjoyable memories of my Dad,He was a person I could count on for a word of advice, helping hand,or just his famous smile that would always brighten my day! He will be missed but never forgotten.

Donna (Dunwell) Anderson

January 21, 2011

I had so many years enjoying and loving my Dad, he was very special to me because he chose me, my sister and brother to become his children. He adopted us when we were young and he gave us another brother. He has taught me so many things in life that I will always treasure and hold deep in my heart, especially the value of family. And quite a family we had! My Dad had six children, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. I never knew how many people he had touched until his passing. I am going to miss him so much. I love you Dad.

January 20, 2011

My sincere condolences to Cheryl and the family. Jack and I were Bomb/Nav instructors at Lowry in the late 50's and early 60's, shared a room in the big brick barracks and he was best man at my wedding in 1961. I have been fortunate that across the miles we have been able to keep in touch and I welcomed his e-mails and the times we talked on the phone. I'll always remember a guy with a heart of gold, and one with great enthusiasm for life and the things he loved. I'll miss you so much, my friend.

Cheryl and family:

Words cannot express the shock and sadness I experienced when I heard of Jack's passing. But then, words cannot describe the special kind of person Jack David was. I remember so many special exchanges we had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May we all find some comfort in our memories of a very, very special person.

It was a pleasure getting to know Jack the short time that we did. We know that he truly loved Elijah and Elijah loved him. He also remembered me and Rudy. We were so sad when we heard the news about Jack's cancer. We are so glad that we went to visit him a couple of weeks before he passed.
He was so happy to see his grandson Elijah and his mom. God bless Sheryl and her family during this difficult time.

I want to express my sympathy to Cheryl and the family. I will miss Jack. He was a very kind, fun, hard working, smart, caring man. Elijah loved his Grandpa Jack very much. I got to spend many weekends with he and Cheryl with Elijah and he always made me feel comfortable and loved in his home. We had some great talks. I am so Blessed to have known him. Elijah and I stayed with he and Cheryl a few weeks before his passing and Elijah gave him one more laugh even though he was so tired and they talked about the trucks Elijah loves so much. I'm so sorry Cheryl that you lost Jack. I will miss him too. He was my friend and I loved him. I'll never let Elijah forget his Grandpa Jack. A truly great man.

January 13, 2011

We both very much loved Jack and have been his friends for the last 18 years, when we first moved to Colorado. We just wish we had known he was so ill so we could have seen him before he died! Of course our hearts and prayers go out to Cherie and family. We will miss his strength, his honor, but especially his sense of humor. We will always treasure the good times we had.with him. God bless and keep him close.

Our sincere sympathy to the family, I knew Jack from our AF PMEL instructor days and as fellow techs at HP. If I/we were having a bad day, just wait till Jack came around the corner and his concerned ear soon had your attention and then his fantastic sense of humor quickly had things looking much better. Of course if the problems were of a technical nature he would jump right in and help find solutions. Praying for much better times for the family.

Our family and friends share the sadness when it came to Jacks passing. Jack was a true father to myself, brother and sister and was a very loving, giving person and a great husband to my mother Cheryl. Jack had always been there when needed and offered help and advice to all that asked. I appreciate the time I had with Jack and will always remember him as a great respectful man. I will miss him deeply and love him forever.

We are so very sad over the loss of a very good friend. Our friendship goes back to the 1960's when we had so much fun in the Doenges Glass Off Road Club and the Great Divide 4-wheel Drive Club. Jack was always fun to be around and was always ready to help in an emergency. We will miss him so very much.

It was a pleasure to know Jack and he became one of my favorite email buddies. I could tell by his emails how he appreciated nature and how patriotic he was. He would also pass along health findings and at one time alerted me and my husband about taking Tylenol that could damage his liver. He was right and thank God he sent that message to us. My heart goes out to the family, especially Cheryl and Jennie. He will be missed by many.

Our sincere condolences to Jack's family and friends for their loss. I first met Jack when we were instructors in the PMEL School at Lowry in the 1970s. We used to talk about motorcycles and swapped the latest jokes. I also worked with Jack at HP and no matter how difficult the task, Jack made it seem routine and would always have a kind word about the job and all his HP cohorts. Whenever Jack was around we were always laughing and joking while swapping old Air Force stories.

Jack will be sadly missed, RIP old buddy.

I have considered Jack a very good friend since the early seventies when we were at the PMEL school at Lowry, and Jack ran the Jet Engine Test Stand. Part of Jack's duties were to chase down the bunny rabbits which were eating the insulation off the cables for the Jet Engine Test Stand. He then arranged for the bunnies to have a free ride to the mountains. Jack embodied the sprit of comradeship so prevalent among military men, which helped to form many life long friendships.

Also, had many good years working with Jack at Hewlett Packard. Not only was Jack an excellent Technician / Customer Engineer, Jack could always be depended on, for whatever his friends needed. Maybe a little help with a work related problem or just someone to talk and listen.

We will miss you Jack.
