Anderson - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Ray "Tackum" Lewis, 91, in Anderson, who left us on July 7, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born to Ray and Lucille (Cast) Lewis.

Jack is survived by his children, Jack (wife, Lori) Lewis, David Lewis, Pamela Lewis Terhune (husband, Mike Carson), Tracy Johnson and stepson, David Stallings; as well as 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and his therapy dog, Reesie.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, E. Jean (Stallings) Lewis, and his siblings, Bill Lewis and Carolyn (Lewis) Roseberry, as well as his stepson, Kenny Stallings.

Jack graduated from Lapel High School in 1952 and proudly served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Conway 507. After his service, he found a rewarding career at Delco Remy, from which he eventually retired. Retirement opened up a new chapter for Jack, and he enjoyed traveling across the United States in his motor home, with many winters spent soaking up the sun in Cocoa Beach, Florida. A lover of golf, Jack found joy in the game and the friendships it brought.

We invite family and friends to celebrate Jack's life on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Services will be held at 2 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, located at 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana. Visitation will take place from 11 AM to 2 PM. Following the service, Jack will be entombed in East Maplewood Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Grateful Rescue & Sanctuary at 4220 N. 500 West Road, Muncie, IN 47304. Jack will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
