Mr. Jack Richard Little, 78, of Nacogdoches passed away peacefully Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Nacogdoches. Graveside services are planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Sunset Memorial Park, with Bro. Sonny Scarborough officiating. Jack was born June 8, 1929, the son of the late Jimmy Little and Jessie Leola Campbell. He served his country bravely during the Korean War in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He worked as an engineer for more than 30 years, He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, his family and also his pet family: Bessie, Muffin, Candy, Tootie and Snuggles. Jack is survived by his wife, Margie Ruth Little of Nacogdoches; son, Ross Little of Wichita Falls, Texas; stepson, Rick Staton of Dale, Texas; stepdaughter, Sherri Nell Clem of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Jack is also survived by special friends Becca Hamblett and Barry Hamblett. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Campbell; his mother, Jessie Campbell; his stepfather, George Campbell; and two sons, Michael Little Miller and Cody Jack Little. Arrangements under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Jack was a very special friend of my father, Gary, and the rest of my family for as long as I can remember. He will be greatly missed.

I am going to miss you.. You were a very special friend and mentor. As I reflect on our friendship, I can not help but smile at the well timed advise you gave over the years, while I was growing from a young 21 year old man to this 47 year old man whom you helped to make wiser. Thank You for being my friend..
