Brunswick , Georgia - Jack Beverly Malone, of St. Simons Island, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2022, after a brief illness. Jack was born on July 29, 1943, in Lucedele, Mississppi and was the second son of six, born to the late Carroll Darwin Malone, Sr. and Wilhelmina Wright Malone. Jack graduated from Hattiesburg High School and Southern Mississippi with a degree in Business Administration. After college, Jack moved to St. Simons where he worked as an electrician until 1973. He then moved to Gulfport to join Malone Properties, Inc. and later became President over the operations which included the brands Western Sizzlin Steakhouse, Popeyes, Ken's Pizza and Catfish Shak. In 2001, Jack returned to St. Simons and acquired his Master's Electrical Licenses and worked until his retirement in 2010. Jack was well known for his love of life, cooking, traveling, fishing, and his Boston Whaler boat. Jack was also preceded in death by his brother Carroll Darwin Malone and nephew Carroll Dan Malone. Jack is survived by his son Jack B. Key (Miki) of Brandon, MS, grandsons Dr. William Key (Katelin) of Norfolk, VA and Luke Key of Brandon, MS and his four brothers, Robby L. Malone (Marsha) of Carthage, MS, Dan M. Malone (Cissy) of Baton Rouge, Mike C. Malone (Kim) of St. Simons Island and William "Bill" N. Malone of Hattiesburg, MS. Burial services will be held at the Hattiesburg Highland Cemetery at a later date. "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched.
