JACK E., 91
Ocala - Jack Edward McLendon Sr., 91, passed away April 15, 2015. Born January 11, 1924, in Columbia, SC, to A.E. Arthur Evans McLendon and Ethel Perry McLendon. He moved here from Lake County in the mid 70s, and worked in Electrical Sales. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a longtime faithful member to Oakcrest Baptist Church.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; brother, Evan McLendon; and sisters, Jeanelle & Inez.
He is survived by his son, Jack Edward McLendon Jr., (Jean), Orlando, FL; daughter, Dana Jonas (Thom), Orlando, FL; and grandchildren, Jon McLendon (Kim), Clermont, FL, Allison Peacock (Carl); one great-grandson, Cody McLendon.
Funeral Service will be 12 Noon, April 17, 2015 at Oakcrest Baptist Church, 1109 SE 28th St, Ocala, FL 34470 with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be later at the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Statenville, GA.
Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
