Jack Donald ÒJ.D.Ó Patillo -MACON - Jack Donald ÒJ.D.Ó Patillo, age 81, passed away Wednesday, December 01, 2010. -J.D. was born in Macon County, Alabama to the late Clester ÒJackÓ and Rena Curry Patillo. He was a member of New Elim Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. Through the years, J.D. and his wife, Kate served faithfully in their church. -He was a self taught locksmith of 30 years at Golden Key Locksmith. J.D. was best remembered as Òthe man at the key shop with the built-up shoe.Ó -J.D. brought his new wife to Macon to make a home in 1953 after being discharged from the United States Army where he served his much loved country during the Korean War. -Family includes his wife of 57 years, Kate Bransford Patillo of Macon; daughter and son in law, Rena P. and Wayne Lyde of Macon; brother and sister in law, James Harold and Rita Patillo of Eclectic, Alabama. There are many other family members and friends he held close to his heart. He gave the greatest gift a daddy could give his child- introducing his child to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. -The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the funeral hour. -Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 3, 2010 in the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. The Reverend Paul Melton and the Reverend Johnny Baggett will officiate.
