So sorry when we heard the news of Jack's passing. A dear friend of 53 years, met Jack in 1970. He introduced me to Broyhill, where I worked many years, also to investing at Navarre Beach, Florida. Both were great pluses in my life.
He loved both of our children from birth to adulthood, always inquiring as to what they were doing in their lives. He always encouraged my family, and I'll miss our phone calls a lot. We are so glad we made it to his 90th birthday last July.

Barrett & I are saddened by Jack’s passing.
He represented Texas to us in all its mighty & entrepreneurial spirit of the 70’s. He did everything successfully. We always think of the family with awe & affection. We’re surprised Kia
dreamt of him 3 days after his passing. A sure sign family lives in our hearts. We’re thinking of Dana and what must be overwhelming grief at his loss. They were bonded with love.
And it started with her hot white go-go boots.

Dearest Dana, Jeff, and Jody,
I woke from a restless night this morning thinking of Jack and your family. I have tried to find you all online in the past, to no avail. I don´t know where each of you live so it´s hard to pinpoint. We have so many fabulous, fun memories of wonderful time spent together in Houston and Navarre Beach. So, before even getting out of bed this morning, I again Googled Jack and Dana Pickett and I found his obit. I´m so glad to find you, but, am so very sorry Jack is no longer with us. He was a great man - one of the best!! Everyone loved Jack. This gets even more small world; I now live in Asheville near his alma matter Appalachian State. My family would love to reconnect with you. Please tell me how we can reach you? With love and sincere condolences,
Kia Walker

I was so heart broken to hear of Jack's passing. I worked with him at Broyhill for many years and kept in touch the rest of his life as he was a special and loved friends. My condolences go out to Dana and his family at the loss of such a wonderful man. Jack was always so supportive of his friends and loved to catch up on what was happening in thier lives. May he rest in peace so deserved and my condolenes to all his friends and family. Carole Wilson Auton
