Jack Schnitzer Obituary
It is with great sadness that Jack's family announces his passing at Regina Gardens on May 31, 2013 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (1994). Loving father of Barbara Haybarger (Skip) and Joe (Lydia). Dear brother-in-law of Mary Teufel and the late Val Barth. He will be sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews and their families. Jack was a dedicated employee of Dofasco retiring in 1985 and a proud longstanding member of the Germania Club. He was passionate about the YMCA, sports, cooking, but mostly his family. Jack was a very energetic and fun guy to be around. He enjoyed his life very much, and as he would say "A lot longer than I expected!"
Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8:30pm, where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11am. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum. On-line condolences may be made at www.markeydermody.com

Dear Barb and Skip,
Roger and I just learned about your Dad. We are thinking of you and know it's a sad time. Things are sort of bittersweet as everyone remembers things from the past.
We never met your Dad but were always impressed thinking of him swimming at the YMCA each day !
We know he was vibrant in his approach to life.
We think that has been passed down to his daughter!
