In loving memory of a wonderful person. I miss you Mr. Jack Scott. We had some awesome times together especially around the holidays. RIP my dear friend.

I was related to Jack Scott through marriage to his nephew, Jim Foote, and his sister, Mary Fontaine Scott Foote, who I was blessed to have as my mother-in-law.
Uncle Jack loaned Jim and I money to secure a place to live and begin farming at Basin Spring Farm in the fall of 1974 after Jim had returned from Vietnam and finished his interrupted graduate studies in agronomy at the University of Kentucky. This followed a denial from the local banker to whom we had made bi-annual payments for three years on twenty acres adjoining Basin Spring. The start-up from Uncle Jack at Citizens Bank of Elizabethtown enabled our nearly two-year-old daughter and 7-week-old son to become the fourth generation at Basin Spring, and grow up in direct proximity their Foote grandparents and extended their families, a foundation I will always treasure.
The family gatherings generated by Jack and Alice are some of my fondest family memories, from Fourth of July gatherings at their home in Elizabethtown, to Thanksgivings at their beloved Woodspoint in Meade County. I am blessed to have been part of their lives, for my children to have been part of their lives, and will continue to hold Uncle Jack and his "Sweetheart" dear.

Rachel, my deepest sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your father.

My family lived across the street from the Scotts in St. Charles, Mo. from 1960 to 1964. I was a little kid but I remember Mr. Scott as always being a very friendly and welcoming guy to my brothers and me. A very specific memory I have of him is his taking me to a St. Louis Cardinals game when I was 8 or 9 years old...the memory of that game has always stuck with me and always will. Rest in peace Mr. Scott...

My sympathy goes out to the Scott family. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend time with Mr. Scott. He was a handful but i wouldn't change anything. He was full of life. I will cherish all the moments, events and pictures we took during our times together. Mr. Scott you will be missed and looking forward to hearing one of your stories, your fussing and compliments on my hair. LOL. RIP my friend❤❤

Prayers to the family and friends of Mr. Jack. I remember his sweet kind soul and his beautiful voice. I loved to hear him sing when he visited our church in Glendale. He and Ms Alice will truly be missed. They would come to my parents house often when my father had cancer. They weren't church goers but were blessed with their frequent visits and Ms. Alice even baptized my father in his bedroom. God speed Mr. Jack.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the family in the loss of Jack. He was so kind and patient. When my parents moved here from New York, he was so kind to take care of them while we were all new to the area. My parents (Corsi) always enjoyed his life stories. He will be greatly missed by many.
