Retired miner Mr Jack Singleton (69), of Clumber Avenue, Rainworth, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at the crematorium chapel.Born at Heanor in Derbyshire, and educated at the town's Mundy Street School, Mr Singleton had been a local resident for 43 years.A miner for 31 years, he worked first at Ormonde Colliery in Derbyshire, and then at Blidworth Colliery, from where he retired.His interests included football - supporting Nottingham Forest Football Club - family holidays and he was a keen fisherman, being head bailiff at L-Lake Fishery, Rainworth.Mr Singleton, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves his wife, Mrs Kathleen Singleton, son Mark, daughters Lynne and Joanne and seven grandchildren.Mourners were Mrs K. Singleton, Mr M. Singleton, Mrs W. Singleton, Joshua, Lucy and Katie, Mrs L. Riley, Mr A. Riley, Gemma and Sammy, Mrs J. Eyre, Mr T. Eyre; Master J. Singleton, Master J. Eyre, Master D.
