Jack Whitman, Jr

Long-time Director / Cinematographer Jack A. Whitman Jr. passed quietly away on August 17, 2022 as one would expect, in the arms of two younger women. Given his career choice, it is near-miraculous that he scored a solid 90 on the years-lived test as he was run over by a train, shot in the foot, dropped from the sky in a hang glider mishap, and blown up in an underwater demolition test; these are just the work-related mishaps shared, there may be more.

Jack is survived by his son, Brett Whitman and his wife Christine, his daughter Andrea Olsen and her husband Jerry, his grandchildren Travis, Spenser and her husband Darren, Jackson, Max and his great-grandson Reid, his brother Bill Whitman and his wife Donna, his nephew Scott Whitman and niece Alana Whitman.

The family would like to acknowledge all of you Jokesters, Characters, and Life-Long Friends, the memory of whom kept him clear-minded and engaged throughout his long and fulfilling retirement. Graveside service to be held in California at the Paradise Cemetery (980 Elliott Rd, Paradise, CA 95969) on Friday, September 9th at 2:00 pm. Wrap party to follow.
