Jackie M. Reece, 79, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 19, 2023 at her home in Brownsville.
A daughter of William C. and Ida Lavinia Purcell Taylor, Jackie was born in Connersville on September 20, 1943. She graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1961.
For many years she was employed as a donut maker for Cox's Grocery and a receptionist for Work One. In her leisure time, Jackie enjoyed reading, watching television, crocheting, gardening, fishing, and talking to people.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina Rowe Johnson of Brownsville; two grandchildren, Zachary Johnson and Merlin Marie Johnson, both of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Billie Bergen of Cambridge City, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Darrell Rowe; and a brother, Alfred Taylor.
Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family with burial in Dale Cemetery. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
