Jacob Henry "Jake" Hinrichs

Jacob Henry Hinrichs, 54, of Fridley, MN, peacefully passed away on March 5, 2024, after bravely battling serious health conditions for the past few months. He was a beloved spouse to Sheri for 25 years, and a cherished father to sons Arjun and Karan. He is also survived by his siblings Molly (Ron) Peltier, Anne (Tom) Daggit, and Eric (Jody) Hinrichs. He was preceded in death by his mother Sharon, father Gerald, and brother Sam.

A Contractor and Home Builder, Jake took pride in his craftsmanship and enjoyed working alongside his family. The role he was most proud of, however, was as stay-at-home Dad to his sons whom he loved deeply. It was his joy to be there when they got home from school, taking them to parks and activities and spending quality time with them.

Despite the significant challenges of living with muscular dystrophy, he faced life with courage and a positive outlook. He cherished music, laughter, and above all, his family. His faith was central to his life, providing him solace and strength. While Jake's departure leaves a profound void, we rejoice in knowing he rests in the arms of our Savior.

Services to celebrate Jake's life will be held Saturday, March 9th at GracePoint Church, 2351 Rice Creek Rd, New Brighton, MN 55112. Visitation begins at 10:00, followed by the funeral service at 11:00, with a luncheon afterward.
