Jacob "Nap" Moore

Jacob Moore was born in BoBo, Mississippi on October 10, 1934 to Willie and Mammie Moore.

Jacob attended Froebel High School up to the 11th grade. He worked at the railroad for many years but retired early from the Steel Mill in 1984. He was a die-hard Bears and Cubs fan. He loved coffee, sweets (especially orange slices), orange pop, but most importantly cars. He could tell you what was wrong with your car by listening to the noise it makes, or you just describing it.

Jake was a natural "nurse." He took care of his mother, wife, and daughter during their sickness. As Jake would say, "See you later soul brother/sister."

Preceded in death by both parents; 5 brothers Sydney, George, Matthew, Frank, Albert Moore; 3 sisters Anna Lee, Levinna, Hattie Mae Moore; 1 son Eric Miner; 3 daughters Eunice, Lolita Richards, Barbara Jean Moore; 2 grandsons Cory Dalton, Darrion Cobb; loving wife Hattie Miner.

Jacob leaves to cherish his memory, 3 daughters Catherine Mix, Erica & Eranita Moore; 15 grandchildren Antoine Richards, Sharlita Richards, Eric Richards, Michael Tillman, Evelyn Richards, Jasmine Tillman, Jeremy Fountain, Isaiah Fountain, Angel Bond, Amariyah Moore, Amiya Moore, Cesare Moore, Elisha Moore, Joshua Moore, Joy Peyton; 22 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
