Jake, it was good to know you, to have laughed with you, argued with you, joined with you in support of other soldiers, and to have grown old enough to forget the disagreements and celebrate the important things. I learned from you and have missed you. May you rest in peace.

Your mother and father instilled in you the tools that you would need to carry on when they were no longer around. We know you will be ok. Just reach back and use what they taught you.
