Jacquelin Bogardus Obituary
Jacquelin Ruth Bogardus of Branson West, Missouri, died August 11, 2018, nine days following her beloved husband Richard.
Jackie was born May 11, 1929, to James and Tusa Clymer. She graduated from East St. Louis High School, and later SIU Edwardsville. She worked as an elementary teacher for district 110 in Fairview Heights, IL, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma an honorary teacher society and The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). An active member of her church, she served as Bible School teacher, Bible School superintendent and choir director in various Christian Churches.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, her brother Donald Clymer, sister Caroline Clymer, and a grandson.
She married Richard Bogardus May 19, 1949, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2018.
Surviving Richard and Jackie are their children: Thomas (Diana) Bogardus of Hollister, MO; daughter Rebecca Bogardus of Branson West, MO; and son Robert (Lynn) Bogardus of Sparta, MO; her grandchildren: Lyndsey and Kevin Crown, Dru and Christie Bogardus, Angela Lingle, Kayla Bogardus, and Kara Bogardus; and five great-grandsons: Bradley, David, Ethan, Dustin, and Matthew. Jackie is also survived by her brother Danny (Linda) Clymer of Manchester, NH who will be officiating services.
Services: Celebration of Lives Well Lived for Richard and Jackie Bogardus will be held August 15, 2018 at New Testament Christian Church, 21016 Main Street, Reeds Spring, MO. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with funeral following at 11:00 a.m.
Interment for Jackie will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri August 16, 2018 at 10:00am.

Dear Becca,
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of both your mother and father. It goes to show you the strength of their love, that one couldnt last long after the others passing. Your world must feel numb. Please know that we are thinking of you and your family. Hoping time will heal your heart.

Aunt Jackie was a major positive influence in the life of my father, Dan Clymer, as he was growing up. She was 19 when my dad was born and she and Uncle Dick took him under their wing. They played a big role in his faith too. I have very fond memories of holidays at Aunt Jackies house. We will always love her!
