Jacquelin Savage Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province from Jan. 9 to Jan. 11, 2014.
Jacquelin Savage November 29, 1918 - January 4, 2014 Jackie passed January 4th. She got her BA Science degree from UBC and was a Kappa Gamma. She worked part time as a lab technician. She was a member of the Vancouver Junior League and the Georgian Club (Vancouver Club) and was an active bridge player. Jackie was an incredible cook and loved cooking for family and friends on Brookridge. She also loved her summers at Crescent Beach as a young girl in the 1920's, continuing the tradition with her own family 50 years later. special thanks go to the staff of Hollyburn House and Lorenza for their warmth and caring. She is survived by her sons Ian (Laurie) and Richard (Annette) and grandchildren Cameron, Kelsey, and Austin. Most of all, she was the best mom to us. A Celebration of Jackie's life will be held on January 18th at 2:00 pm at St Christopher's Church, 1068 Inglewood Ave, West Vancouver.

We are so sorry to learn of Jackie's passing. She waited a long time but assuredly is now at peace with her beloved and supportive David and eldest son Hugh.
It is something to be proud of to live for 95 years. I remember her saying how wonderful it was that her Uncle George's wife, Aunt Doris, passed away at 96 years. They are now together in the over 95 club!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Cousin Pat Cameron-Aders, her daughter and son-in-law Coco and George

We'll remember Jacquie for her genteel sociability and her kindness to us in hosting many dinners at Brookridge for friends. And admire her endless patience and good humour in a household of the 4 Savage men.
