Jacqueline "Jackie" Byford

Funeral services for Jacqueline "Jackie" Byford, 73, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in the Full Gospel Church with Sister Alice Wendling officiating. Jacqueline "Jackie" Byford was born November 7, 1935, in Rogersville, Tennessee, the daughter of Vernon and Vena (Mobe) Williams. She died July 5, 2009, in Chickasha. Jackie worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and cared for many people throughout her career. She loved people and she truly enjoyed taking care of her patients. She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. She made the news two years in a row for her prize winning Hibiscus'. Jackie loved company and was always inviting people over to visit. She also loved her bird, JoJo and her dog, Sugar. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church. Jackie was preceded in death by both parents; three sisters: Jane Watkins, Alice Trent and Betty Jo Lawhorn; one grandson, Todd Boyer Johnson; three nephews: Roger Thomas, Chuck Trent and Ralph Trent; niece, Judy Trent; and two brothers-in-law: Lawrence Thomas and Gene Gieger. She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law: Bobby and Bobbi Johnson, of Cement; four granddaughters: Danielle Weedn, Jill Turner, Trista (Brandon) Moss, all of Cement and Stephanie Enriquez, of Dallas, Texas; great grandchildren: Kaleigh Boyer, Braydn Weedn, Doltn Weedn, Allyssa Enriquez, and Issaic Enriquez; three sisters: Chris Gieger, of Indiana, Thelma Thomas, of Tennessee, and Emma and Delano Laye, of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Interment will be in the Springside Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas, at 3:00 p.m., under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
