News Death Notice
RUTHERFORD (Flor), Jacqueline Denise Age 49, of Stuart, FL, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was born January 11, 1965 in Wilmington, OH. She is preceded in death by her sons, David and Jordan Stephens. She is survived by her parents, John Flor and Virginia Howard, brother and sister, John David Flor and Stacy Worthington, daughter, Katelyn Thoroughman, granddaughters, Savannah, Louella, and Magnolia, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. There will be a memorial ceremony in her remembrance October 4, 2014 at the V.F.W. Post 9936 located at 1720 E. Third St., Dayton from 2-4 p.m. Memorial contributions, in Jackie's name, may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (www.phassociation.org).

Jackie cared for my mother at SpringMeade. I had the pleasure of watching her interact with many residents and she was always so kind, patient and generous with her time. I can't fully express how much that was appreciated as it can be so worrisome to entrust the care of a loved one with another. When she lost her boys, I was amazed by how she continued forward with a smile on her face, though I knew she must be in an unimaginable pain inside. My heart goes out to her entire family, especially her daughter, and all those who loved her. Jackie was a special person, who made a difference in many people's lives, and she will be remembered.
