Jacqueline Tigner Wickens
Chesapeake - Jacqueline Tigner Wickens, 76, of Chesapeake died March 26, 2012, at Abbey Manor Assisted Living, La Plata, MD.
Born April 10, 1935, in Portsmouth, Va., she was the daughter of the late William Clyde Tigner and the late Sadie Irene Hutchins. She graduated from Churchland High School, Portsmouth, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood "Larry" Wickens.
She is survived by her son, Jefferson Wickens and his wife, Susan; daughters, Teresa Wickens Cole, Karen Wickens and Jane Wickens-Creel and her husband, Bob; grandchildren, Tommy Wickens, Kristy Wickens, Samantha Austin, Ashley Creel, Larry Cole and Robbie Creel; and great-grandchildren, Miranda, Alyssa, Stephanie, Catherine and Jordan.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Jolliff United Methodist Church, 1900 Jolliff Road Chesapeake, by Pastor Waverly (Smitty) Smith, III. A private graveside service will be held at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Road, Great Bridge, Chesapeake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jolliff United Methodist Church, 1900 Jolliff Road, Chesapeake, VA 23321 or Hospice of Charles County, P.O. Box 1703, La Plata, MD 20646.
