OBITUARY DR. JACQUES-R. DUCHARME 1928 - 2006 In Montreal on November 26, 2006 at the age of seventy-eight, passed away Jacques-R. Ducharme, husband of Monique Smith. He leaves to mourn his five children: Andree (Murray Steeves), Marie (Esther Landry), Jean (Diane Desilets), Raymond (Marie-Josee Bisaillon) and Anique (Eric Favreau), his adored ten grandchildren: Philippe, Isabelle, Frederique, Genevieve, Sophie, Patrick, Erika, Ludovic, Simone and Louis, his sisters Pierrette Martel and Suzel Marion, his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Therese Ducharme, Madeleine and Pierre LeBeau, other relatives and friends. Pediatrician, endocrinologist and distinguished Professor with tenure at the University of Montreal, Dr. Ducharme founded the research centre at Sainte-Justine Hospital where he practiced for over 30 years. Visitation Wednesday, November 29 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday November 30 from 9 a.m. at Centre funeraire Cote-des-Neiges, 4525, chemin de la Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal 514-342-8000 (interior parking free). The funeral will be held on Thursday November 30 at 11 a.m. at Saint-Albert-le-Grand, 2175, chemin de la Cote-Sainte-Catherine in Montreal. The family would like to thank Dr. Suzanne Lebel and all the staff of 3rd west of the l'Institut universitaire de geriatrie de Montreal for their exceptional care, attention and respect. A donation to the Centre de recherche de l'Hopital Ste-Justine or the Fondation de l'Institut de geriatrie de Montreal (designated to improve the quality of life) would be appreciated.
