Dr Lipetz was a wonderful soul who my husband and I met in 1984. His story of escaping the Holocaust via the Philippines is one we never forgot.
May he rest in peace.

One felt insanely alive in his presence each and every time.
Though I would hasten to add I always envied his infectious passion that he displayed towards the noble causes he held dear .
I’ll finish by referring you to WB Yeats an his poem “The lake isle of Innisfree...

Saba was such a selfless, loving, and positive person who touched every person he met. He was able to instantly connect with every person he met, regardless of age or background. I am so incredibly lucky to be Saba’s granddaughter and to have gotten the chance to know him so well.

I will forever cherish our memories together of family holidays, intellectual conversations, and even playing Angry Birds together at very early hours. I am planning to honor Saba and keep his memory alive by sharing his stories from the Holocaust with a large community and hopefully taking a French class at Drexel to learn his native language.

Saba, everyday I learn from you and your positivity; I strive to touch as many people as you did. I love you so much Saba and you have made such an impact on me and the woman I am becoming.
