Dr Lipetz was a wonderful soul who my husband and I met in 1984. His story of escaping the Holocaust via the Philippines is one we never forgot.

Saba was such a selfless, loving, and positive person who touched every person he met. He was able to instantly connect with every person he met, regardless of age or background. I am so incredibly lucky to be Saba’s granddaughter and to have gotten the chance to know him so well.
I will forever cherish our memories together of family holidays, intellectual conversations, and even playing Angry Birds together at very early hours. I am planning to honor Saba and keep his memory alive by sharing his stories from the Holocaust with a large community and hopefully taking a French class at Drexel to learn his native language.
Saba, everyday I learn from you and your positivity; I strive to touch as many people as you did. I love you so much Saba and you have made such an impact on me and the woman I am becoming.
