I was so saddened to hear about Jake's passing!! He was my godfather. While I hadn't seen him since I was young, I wish we hadn't lost touch!! My loving thoughts to you Fiona, Alexander, David and Lindsay!!

Jake was one of the most amazing men I have ever known. I only met Jake a handful of times, but every conversation I had with him was inspiring. He had such a love for life, and he loved his family. He treated everyone with the upmost dignity and respect, and he always took the time to learn everyone's name. I always looked forward to seeing a huge grin on his face every time he returned from Nordic Skiing. He never had anything negative to say, was always so upbeat, and never said anything negative about anyone. I will always remember him and am a better person for knowing him.

Until reading the obituary in the NY Times I didn't know that Mr. Eberts made possible some of the finest films that the industry has produced without resorting to the excesses that have become all to common in Hollywood and elsewhere. May he long be remembered for his high standards and may he influence many other producers and filmmakers to follow his path. My sympathies to the family.

I was honored to know Jake whom I first met in 1995. He was a dear man-sincere, kind, thoughtful and extremely bright. We sat on a business board together but had the most fun skiing at his beloved Sundance Mountain.
Jake will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.

Fiona,
Our toughts are with you and your family. We loved and enjoyed every minute we had with Jake. We feel it was a priviledge to have cross his path.
