My condolences on the passing of Jal. Dr. Choksi inspired me to pursue mathematics some 25 years ago and for that I am grateful. He made a huge impact on me and my classmates and will be very much missed.

To the Choksi family..
Please accept my deep sympathy at this sad time. Jal was a true gentleman and such a kind and thoughtful man. I recall the fun times we had together here in Victoria and the lovely evening spent with you last October. It will not be the same returning to Montreal knowing I will not see him.
It will be difficult to adjust to life without him.
You are much in my thoughts.
