Jalen D’Lance Price, 23, of Franklin, KY passed away December 24, 2022.
The Franklin native was born October 17, 1999. Jalen was a graduate of Franklin Simpson High School. He was a beautiful spirit. He was a proud big brother and protected his siblings. Jalen was smart, strong willed, energetic, and funny. He had a great passion for music and loved running. He was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. He loved his great grandparents and grandmother dearly. He spent many days with his great aunts and loved time with them and his Uncle Dominique.
Jalen was survived by his mother, Terri Gooch (Derek) with siblings, Justis’, Kennyatta, Kimya, and Ahlexandria, and grandmother Carmalita Bigbee. He was also survived by his father, Braxton Price (Amie) with siblings Braedon and Brinlee.
A private memorial service was held Wednesday, December 28th, 2022. During this time, may we trust deeper in the Lord. Allow God to restore those who are weary. May we always remember his beautiful smile. To our son, may you Soar on Eagle’s wings. We will always love you and hold you forever in our hearts.

Jalen, it is such a shock to know you are gone. I truly enjoyed having you in my English class, being your homebound teacher, and guiding you through your teenage years. You took life head on, you had a passion for life and a desire to help look after your family. May you rest in peace.

I enjoyed being Jalen’s teacher and also his friend. We would visit during his walks and my bike rides through the neighborhood. He was always so kind and pleasant. I miss Jalen but I count myself blessed to have known him.

I’m at a loss for words. You was the best person anyone could’ve asked to have close. You’re my brother. God only knows how much we wish we didn’t have to miss you. That you was still here. Rest easy Jalen.
