James Adams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 12, 2017.
James Peak Adams, 81, entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, July 29, 2017 due to complications from diabetes.

He was born on November 16, 1935 and in 1958 he married his beloved wife Winfred (Barber). They were happily married for 59 years and together they built a family legacy that will continue to flourish and grow. Aside from being a devoted husband and father, he was a Sales Leader for Prudential Life Insurance and was inducted into the Prudential Hall of Fame in 1992. In his free time he loved taking the entire family on many vacations. He also enjoyed watching the Cubs & the Bulls and happily witnessed both Teams winning World Championships.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Eulys and Frances Adams; his sister Norma Reid and his brother Ken (Judy) Adams; and by their son Steven.

He is survived by his spouse, Winifred. He was the dear father of Laura (Dan) Czapek, Donna (Bruce) Ronning, Mary (Wes) Gadomski, and Andrew (Nicole) Adams. He was a loving grandfather of Kathryn (Josh), Cassie (Eric), Nicole (Blake), Bryan (Courtney), Matt, Christine, and Olivia. He was an adored great-grandfather to Audrey and Aria. He also was a cherished friend to many.

A memorial service will be held at Epiphany Cathedral on Monday, August, 14th at 11 a.m.

My sincere condolences to his wife and family. I only knew him from Church, but he and his wife are good, loving people. My prayers and thoughts go to all.
