Linda,

We are so sorry to hear about Jim. It goes without saying how shocked we are.
It is heartbreaking for us not to have seen you since Lauren's wedding.
You selected a wonderful picture of Jim.
We both agree that it absolutely captures the essence of him. He was one of the best.
We are so sorry for your loss. We are praying for you and sending our love to you and your beautiful family.

I was so sorry to hear about Jim's passing and would like to express my condolences to his family. I first met Jim sometime in the early 1950's at Root School and got to know him well during class and the many hotly contested softball games. Jim will be missed by all who got to know him.

Linda, I too will miss Jim. We were neighbors at the lake while growing up and classmates during high school. He was so very respected by all of us. God ease your pain. Jeannie Forsythe Youngblood

I knew Jim for just a short time in Collierville, TN, before he and Linda moved to Texas to be with their daughter. Jim as a very good, kind and capable man...and a hard worker for sure. It was also clear to me he was a devoted family man and he loved his wife and talked to me many times about his daughter, her husband and their two girls. I'm saddened at his passing and I pray for his wife Linda and their extended family during this difficult time.

In a world full of hate, anger, violence, and pessimism, Jim stood out as someone with integrity and a positive view of the future. He was a gentle giant. The world needs more positive role models like Jim Allwood. May those that knew him replicate his sense of decency and integrity. We can never let those values go out of style.

I was surprised and saddened when I learned that your dear Jim has been called away to Heaven. He was undoubtedly met and greeted by my sister (and your friend) Becky!

Since I know that I would be in extreme anguish were it my dear Gary, I know that you are devastated.

I had, only recently, found that you had been here in Carrollton for Jim's CHS Class of '63 reunion. I'm glad that you and he were able to attend. And, had I known, I would have come out to see y'all.

My desire is to carry some of your pain away. Sadly, it is not possible for me to do so. But, please know that I am thinking of you!

Love and hugs,
Leslie (Bridges) Kohler
