J.C. I Love you!! There are no words a daughter could say for the experiences you so gracefully helped me through. You taught me how to respect, enjoy, and accept all around me, even if I did not agree at times. You built a great business, and taught me how to do the same. Although I do not have Children I have our family, and many friends, which you also taught me the importance of. I will cherish the wonderful times you and I shared. Nothing can replace that!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

The first time I met JC was in the elevator at the Home Tower. He introduced himself and I responded with: "I'm the lowest man on your totem pole chief" JC said: I don't know about that... He certainly was the chief, but he made you feel every bit as important as the rest at Anderson Exploration. I don't care for celebrities at all, but I had great admiration and respect for Mr. Anderson. R.I.P. sir and my heartfelt condolences to your family.

Dear Karen, Susan and Anderson Family,
JC was like a Dad to me and we shared many happy times, the odd adult beverage as he would say, vibrant, lively and sometimes debated conversations. I will miss him, as I know you are as well. Take care of yourselves. Love Dianne and Bob Hall

Sending our sincere condolences.
We enjoyed knowing JC for the last 21 years of his life as he spent his time with my sister/his fiancée Karen.
JC loved to socialize and generously hosted many celebrations which we had the pleasure to attend.
His animated stories and zest for life will be missed.

JC and I both graduated from the University of Texas, he in engineering and me in geology. Our paths would cross many times in the oil industry, beginning first in 1958 in New Orleans where he worked for Pan American and later in Calgary where we were both transferred. I was privileged to serve as a director of his public oil company AXL for many years and to know him as an outstanding oilman and a great friend. Along with his family, I will miss him.

I am so saddened by this news. JC was larger than life, more of a gentleman than most would ever know, and a better human being than most can only hope to be. JC laughed easy and worked hard and expected others around him to do the same. My heart aches for the loss of JC, my thoughts and prayers are with JC's family and close friends. JC, may you rest in peace, where the grass is tall and green, horses run wild and the sun is bright. May God keep you safe. And now as He lays you to rest in the heavens of oil and gas and ranch land, know that you will be missed "big guy". I remember what you might say at this time, when there is nothing else to say............"Oh very well"
With our deepest condolences and much sadness,
Rhonda and Ray Smith (LaRue)
