Marg and Family,
Know that your father will live on with you: he lives with you sometimes with your actions, your words, in your thoughts but mostly in your heart. I send you my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Marg, I was so sorry to see your Dad has passed away. It reminded me of how wonderful your parents were to me an out of province student and then also Bob during our University Days. The only sailboat ride I have ever had was with your Dad out at your cabin. What a wonderful memory to have all these years later. He was a very special man. Please know that we are thinking of you and your family.
Take care....Carol and Bob Dansereau

My deepest condolences to the Barr family. Dr. Barr was my doctor for many years until his retirement. He delivered my son and daughter 44 and 46 years ago and saw me through miscarriage's. He was the most kind and gentle person. I would see him at the Riverbend Safeway and always had a nice chat with him. I know he will be missed by many.

I will always remember our times at the lake, Dr. Barr's humor, his sherry, his sailing, his gardens, getting rocks out of the water ..... and so much more. He was a very special man. In addition, he delivered my niece and nephew ..... he will be remembered. We send our love to Marg, George and families

Marg, so sorry to learn of this great loss. Your dad and Dr. Boyd perfected a compassionate, innovative and patient centred health model -one that influenced many younger practitioners. He was a real treat. My thoughts are with you.

I was a patient of Dr. Boyd's and Dr. Barr delivered my oldest son one bright shiney day after he walked his dog at the U of A 28 years ago. He and Dr. Boyd were just wonderful men who contributed greatly to medicine in the Edmonton area after they immigrated. They worked so well together. Dr. Barr was so gentle and kind. He always warmed up his speculum just right which many doctors do not. What a professional! He will be missed.

Marg & George,
I am so sad to hear of your father's passing. He was such a lovely, gentle soul who cared deeply for everything in life. I will always fondly remember him from the lake taking care of his beautiful flowers and saving cookies for my dogs that seemed to go over regularly for visits. He will be missed by many.

I worked for Dr. Barr for 25 years and came to know him as a kind and gentle man. My daughter had a little crush on him and when she was 4 years old made him a mouse out of a small pebble and attached ears and whiskers. That pebble was still on his desk years later even though the ears and whiskers were long gone. We're going to miss him.
