James Ray Brockwell

James Ray Brockwell, 60, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of New Vision Church in White Pine and was the Owner/Operator of Roofing by James Brockwell and Sons. He loved playing his guitar, fishing and watching his children and grandchildren play anything they were involved in at the moment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Myrtle Brockwell; brother, Bobby Brockwell; sisters, Mary Ann Wright and Betty Lou Brockwell.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, whom he promised he would always remain her guardian angel here on earth, Jennie Brockwell; sons, James R. Brockwell, Jr. of Newport and Jason H. (Ashley) Brockwell of White Pine; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Brockwell-Owens of Newport; grandchildren, Dylan, Alexis, Elizabeth, Alyssa, Gage, Kasen and Taylin; brothers, Marvin Brockwell, Martin Brockwell and Robert L. Brockwell; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Tony Collins and Randy Kelly officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
